Phrase Definition
4-Man Shamble Here’s how it works: All 4 guys tee off. You pick the best drive and then everyone plays their own ball from there. You keep your own individual score. The team with the lowest 2 best balls score wins. There’s a twist at the end…you’ll see! Sign up for this one…everyone who played it last year thought it was great!
666 Ryder Cup This is 2 man (member/member) event. The first 6 holes are scramble format, the second 6 holes are alternate shot format and the last 6 holes are best ball format. You keep 1 team score.
Bring a Friend or M/M This is a 2-man, Best Ball event. Bring a friend from outside the Men’s Club or hook up with another member. If you bring a friend, have them bring the GHIN # for handicap verification.
Club Championship This is the premier 2 day event and the 3rd Major of the year. It’s format is Individual Medal play. Players with handicaps 0-8 tee from the blue markers and play 54 holes (with a cut to the lowest 8 plus ties after 36 holes). Handicaps 9 and above tee from the white makers and play 36 holes.
Computer Draw This event is played as an Individual, but you don’t know who you’re partner is…the computer will draw 4-man teams in an ABCD format. It will be scored as a team best ball. You might have some new friends after this event if you have a good day!
Fall Classic This is the fourth and final Major of the year. It’s format is Individual Medal play. Players with handicaps 0-8 tee from the blue markers. Handicaps 9 and above tee from the white makers. This tournament is “Double Points” towards Player of the Year. Glorys last shot!
Flag American flags will be placed randomly on each tee. You must tee from the American flag. Some flags will be at the back tees. Some will be at the front tees. Some in the middle. This is a fun one!
Individual Individual Tournaments are Medal play. You play your own ball and keep your individual score. You must hole out every putt, even if you’ve surpassed your USGA ESC limit for adjustment of your handicap.
Gross & Net If you are in the 0-8 handicap range, you compete in the Championship Division (gross), if you are in the 9-17 handicap range, you compete in the A-Division (net) and if you are in the 18+ handicap range, you compete in the B-Division (net).
Gross & Net Aggregate This is 2 man event. You both play your own ball and keep your own score. The team with total lowest aggregate score wins.
Len Yush Memorial This is an individual event. The Len Yush is a memorial tournament for a former avid member of the Men’s Club back when it was known as Bel Compo. Len’s wife Annette is responsible for helping us fund this event in his memory.
Member Guest You may invite 1 or 3 guests. The tournament format is Best ball. If you have 3 guests, you compete on 3 best ball teams
Member/Member Member/Member Best Ball is a partners tournament. You both play your own ball and keep your own score. But you post a better ball score for each hole to be used as your “team score”. Lowest “team score” wins.
Member/Member Club Championship This is a 2 day, best ball event. Pick your own partner. There are 2 division payouts: Gross and Net. Groups are rearranged the second day in order to pair the leaders together. You must pay for both days greens fees on Saturday.
President's Cup This is the second Major of the year. It’s format is Individual Medal play. Players with handicaps 0-8 tee from the blue markers. Handicaps 9 and above tee from the white makers. This tournament is “Double Points” towards Player of the Year.
Skins Skins are divided into 2 divisions, gross and net. Everyone is eligible to compete in both. The player who has the single best score on a particular hole, wins the skin on that hole (example: If only 1 player in the field birdies the 7th hole, he wins the skin). Total prize money is divided among all the skin winners.
Spring Classic This is the first Major of the year. It’s format is Individual Medal play. Players with handicaps 0-8 tee from the blue markers. Handicaps 9 and above tee from the white makers. This tournament is “Double Points” towards Player of the Year.
Stableford Gross & Net divisions with highest point totals cashing using modified scoring system as follows:

Bogey                 0 points
D. Bogey+          -1 points
